The impetus
It comes down to a very simple notion, handed down through my Celtic roots: charity begins at home. My parents held the firm belief that you take care of people, those you know and those you don't. From the vantage point of the kitchen table they would plot solutions, with little money to spare, keeping the front door and their hearts wide open. Through technology, education and compassion, my generation's kitchen table now encompasses the globe.

Helping out with the kids
When you buy The Giving Ring or The Giving Ring pendant, all net profits support one of ten beneficiaries from countries around the world. You choose which organization you wish to assist. Click on Symbolism to learn more about the inspiration for this fair trade jewelry hand-crafted in Nepal. Share this symbol with others, spread the word. Let's build a family without boundaries, with everyone "helping out with the kids." If we don't do it, who will?

If you take nothing else with you, please envision these millions of children loved, healthy, protected, with food and access to education. If you want to help, buy The Giving Ring. If that sparks you to go further, visit Peace x Peace. Those folks have figured out global activism.

The business of supporting others
I want to make it clear that Stone Lily is not a non-profit. This is a business that is in the business of supporting others. Our collective capacity to promote human dignity and well-being all over the planet is unstoppable.

Peace,
Susan Carol Stein
